
This course examines the role of communication in promoting, shaping, and sustaining social change within societies. It explores how media, campaigns, and community-based communication strategies can influence attitudes, behaviors, and public policies. Students will analyze theories of development communication, participatory communication, and advocacy, as well as case studies from global and local contexts. The course encourages students to design and evaluate communication initiatives aimed at addressing social issues such as health, education, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.
